Twisty Goulash Recipe- Make, Eat and Freeze

Twisty Goulash Recipe

This recipe will feed you and a large family!

This is a new "twist" on a hearty meal that will feed you for t least a few days or you can freeze the left-overs.

Here's the recipe

2 lbs. Ground Beef
1 pkg. 1 oz. Chili Seasoning
2 pkgs. 16 oz. ea. Rotini ("twisty noodles")
2 cans ea. 14.5 oz. Diced Tomatoes (drained)
1 can 10 oz. Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies (drained)
1 can 15 oz. Tomato Sauce
2 cans ea. 15 oz. Sweet Kernel Corn (drained)
1 can 15.5 oz Black Beans (drained)
Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Mrs. Dash Original Flavor (optional)

1. Boil the 2 pkg. of Rotini ("twisty noodles") in a large pot until tender. Drain well. Keep noodles in pot.

2. In a large skillet brown beef. Drain. Keep beef in skillet.
Add seasonings and Chili Seasoning (add 1/3 C. water)
Stir until  well blended over low heat. Add to the cooked noodles

3. Start adding the cans of  diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, black beans and sweet corn. Blend well.

There you have it!
This can be tweaked to suit your own taste.

We would probably make a "Goulash Bake"
complete with shredded cheddar cheese layered throughout in a rectangle baking dish for the leftovers or you can freeze for a later meal.

ENJOY!

  1. This sounds like a fabulous winter dish! How do the noodles turn out when reheated after freezing? I'm always nervous about freezing cooked noodles.
